CINSAUT TASTING 9 SEPTEMBER

Cinsau(l)t

Join SASA for an exploratory tasting of one of South Africa’s most underrated cultivars currently experiencing somewhat of a renaissance due in part to wines by Sadie Family, A A Badenhorst, Mount Abora and others. We will be looking at 15+ Cape Cinsauts from 3 decades in chronological order.

[see Tim James’ piece here: http://grape.co.za/2013/08/lovely-underrated-cinsaut/]

Did you know it was South Africa’s most planted cultivar until 1993?

Host David Clarke will be joined by leading viticulturist Rosa Kruger, who will talk about the cultivar from a vineyard perspective.
