Scope and General Purpose:

Ensuring the quality of service Bosman’s Restaurant and the Grande Roche Hotel is known for.

Responsible to:

Restaurant Managers

Key performance areas/duties:

  • Responsible for the up keeping and maintenance of the Bosman’s,  Bistro and Banqueting Wine lists.
  • Representing the hotel both on duty and off duty
  • Marketing of wines and winemakers to our guests.
  • General sommelier service and wine tastings for all guests
  • Maintain the Liquor Store, Maturation Cellar, Red Wine Cellar and fridges
  • Training of staff if required
  • Stock take
  • Providing wines at various functions
  • Helping with different wine shows and other wine events we have at the hotel.
  • Service lunch and dinner
  • Responsible for glass stock
  • Selling of wine to guests for lunch and dinner (pairing included)
