Sommelier at Grand Roche
Scope and General Purpose:
Ensuring the quality of service Bosman’s Restaurant and the Grande Roche Hotel is known for.
Key performance areas/duties:
- Responsible for the up keeping and maintenance of the Bosman’s, Bistro and Banqueting Wine lists.
- Representing the hotel both on duty and off duty
- Marketing of wines and winemakers to our guests.
- General sommelier service and wine tastings for all guests
- Maintain the Liquor Store, Maturation Cellar, Red Wine Cellar and fridges
- Training of staff if required
- Stock take
- Providing wines at various functions
- Helping with different wine shows and other wine events we have at the hotel.
- Service lunch and dinner
- Responsible for glass stock
- Selling of wine to guests for lunch and dinner (pairing included)
